A Wiser Way 3

We are in the midst of a series of messages we’re calling, “A Wiser Way.” All of us would probably admit that we have learned some of the hardest life lessons the hard way. Those moments should cause us to hit the pause button and ask that all important question, “Is there a wiser way?” The Bible includes the story of a king that asked God for wisdom and his request was granted. Thousands of years later we have access to his writings and advice on many life issues. Throughout the book of wisdom called Proverbs, King Solomon reminds us of the value of wisdom and how important it is to get it.

The late comedian, Rodney Dangerfield’s famous line was, “I get no respect!” I wonder if the creator of the heavens and the earth feels the same way at times.

This weekend we’ll take a look at where Solomon tells us where wisdom begins. He came to this conclusion, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
