For the most part, we follow the Revised Common Lectionary. The Lectionary is a schedule of readings, offering four texts each Sunday. Many churches the world over follow this schedule, giving more unity to the church as a whole.

December 4: Comfort for God’s People, Isaiah 40:1-11
December 11: A Faithful God, Isaiah 61:1-4, 8-11
December 18: An Angel’s Promise, Luke 1:26-38
December 25: Holy Birth, Luke 2:1-20
